We breed and raise our own bison here in the vast hills of the 60,000 acre Dismal River Outfitters ranch. Many of our mature bulls grow to unusually large proportions and some weigh up to 2,000 pounds. This creates a very desirable trophy for the hunter as well as providing a large quantity of delicious bison meat which carries as much as 35 percent more protein than beef and is 97 percent fat free.

We are well prepared to accommodate rifle, muzzleloader, handgun and archery hunters. Hunts can be conducted either by horseback, spot and stalk from hunting vehicles, or just hiking.
